Onimaru and his team cause a sudden power outage to create confusion. He attempts to sneak into the field but is stopped by Chrono and Kouji. The three engage in a cardfight while Chrono observes, but the match ends when power is restored. As the first stage resumes normally, Onimaru pursues his true goal: a portal discovered by Noa Hoshizaki of Team Nippon. He enters the portal and performs a Different World Ride. This action results in Noa Hoshizaki becoming possessed by Star-Vader, Chaos Breaker Dragon, effectively achieving Onimaru's objective amidst the earlier chaos.
