Danji becomes a regular member of the local Pro-Wrestler Association with the goal of restoring its prominence. Upon preparing for his debut, he is surprised to discover that his scheduled opponent is the renowned Hiroshi Tanahashi. Recognizing Danji's proficiency in the card game Vanguard, Tanahashi proposes a unique crossover event. They agree to conduct their bout using rules from both professional wrestling and Vanguard, creating a novel competition format known as CardFight Pro-Wrestling. This collaboration allows both competitors to showcase their distinct skills within a single, combined match structure.
