Compiler and Assembler, two of these beings, find themselves more interested in romantic relationships with humans than carrying out their original mission. As they navigate their new lives in a three-dimensional world, they also face the challenge of defending Earth from threats posed by their former controllers and hostile programs seeking to erase it.
