Misae tasks Shin-chan with collecting dried leaves from the garden, which she subsequently burns to roast sweet potatoes. Meanwhile, Hiroshi inspects the storage room and discovers birthday presents from the previous year. Upon learning of this, Shin-chan insists that Hiroshi open the gifts immediately. In a separate event, Shin-chan encounters a girl who regularly feeds Shiro. The following day, Shin-chan and Shiro bid the girl farewell as she prepares to depart for America, wishing her good luck on her journey.
