Tusk declares an advance into the Misurugi Empire, prompting Hilda to order her Para-mail squadron to attack from the Aurora. Recruits express anxiety about flying over the human world. Ange meets Sala, who separates to rescue Aura, while Vivian locates Ange using her native sense. Hilda reunites with Ange but is interrupted by Chris, leading to a one-on-one battle where Chris reveals her resentment over past treatment. Meanwhile, Momoka revives Ange at the Villkiss crash site, and they head toward the Aurora. Ange encounters an enemy controlled by Embryo in an alley. Rosalie questions the war's necessity during an aerial battle, triggering a flashback where Chris rejects Hilda and Rosalie as friends after Embryo offers friendship. Mary attempts to intervene. Embryo asserts control over Mana users in a car with Momoka. Sala advises Naga, Kaname, and Riza to retreat, shooting Sylvia to protect Riza after a revelation about their father's death. Tusk buys time against Embryo to help Ange and Momoka. Marika dies covering Hilda from Chris. Tusk arrives to rescue the girls, but Momoka attacks him under Embryo's control. Ange breaks Momoka free, who then attacks Embryo. Ange is shot but kills Embryo by pushing him off a cliff with a car, surviving the explosion. Tusk comforts Ange, then destroys the area with a deadman's switch. Ange mourns her losses.
