Aoba and Mizuki start at Seishu High School, where Mizuki gains popularity among girls, annoying Senda. Aoba joins the baseball team as a pitcher, motivating teammates to avoid losing to her. Mizuki and Aoba discuss Wakaba, leading Mizuki to realize Ko is Wakaba’s boyfriend and wonder about his pitching speed. Momiji questions Aoba about Mizuki’s attractiveness, then recalls Ko and Wakaba, silently apologizing to Wakaba. Mizuki rejects several girls by claiming love for Aoba and denies rumors about Aoba and Ko. During practice, Ko reveals Aoba’s hidden twisted ankle, prompting Aoba to expose Ko’s stiff left arm. Mizuki helps Aoba home, affirming his serious feelings for her.
