On his 14th birthday, Daisuke Niwa faces rejection when Risa Harada views him only as a friend. While Satoshi Hiwatari observes Daisuke using forbidden skills to bypass a school electronic lock, Daisuke activates training traps at home. This triggers a transformation into Dark, a black angel residing in Niwa men for generations to steal cursed artworks. Daisuke discovers he cannot revert to his human form until he steals the Saint Tears statue that night, accepting this as his destiny. After escaping, Dark flies past the Harada mansion and kisses Risa's older twin sister, Riku Harada.
