In the Artemis finals, Emperor Mk 2 and Achilles clash, with the Emperor initially dominating until Achilles stabs him. Despite winning, Achilles is destroyed when the revived Emperor Mk 2 self-destructs while holding him. Jin loses control of his machine during the attack. Following the destruction, power is cut, forcing evacuation. Innovator LBXs infiltrate the building, stealing the Platinum Capsule and Metanus GX. Yagami discovers the Innovators' red team caused the blackout and killed the guards protecting Metanus GX. He confronts Kaidō, who declares him unnecessary. As Yagami leaves, a mysterious cloaked man enters and stuns Kaidō.
