Nobita and Doraemon both enjoy rice cakes but argue over the final piece. To resolve this, Doraemon employs a do-it-yourself paddy field to cultivate a large harvest of rice. He then uses a machine to process the grain into numerous rice cakes. Despite producing 259 rice cakes in total, the two friends continue to squabble over the remaining odd one, highlighting their persistent rivalry over food despite the abundance created by Doraemon's inventions.
