Unable to go outside, Nobita receives magical paper from Doraemon that creates copies of objects, including himself. This narrative was later remade as The Nobita that Nobita Never Knew in the 2005 series. The story highlights the consequences of using such magical items when the copy is separated from its creator, resulting in a distinct journey for the paper figure.
