Ep. 1: Enma and the Yōkai Patrol confront a face-stealing demon in the Shouwa Era.

Harumi sneaks into a school with friends, only to discover their faces have vanished. After nearly drowning while fleeing, she is saved by Kappaeru, a kappa who transports her to an underground base. There, she meets Yukiko, an ice princess, and Enma, a fiery mage. Together, they form the Yōkai patrol, a group dispatched from hell to stop demons appearing on the surface. Harumi identifies a face-eating demon as the culprit and volunteers to lure it out for an attack. However, Enma’s laziness causes a delay, resulting in Harumi losing her own face before the team arrives. Enma eventually engages the demon in battle, destroying it with his fiery hammer without harming innocent faces, and successfully returns all stolen faces to their owners.
