Ep. 97: The Tournament of Power officially begins with Grand Minister rulings and early universe clashes.
The Grand Minister announces the rules before the Tournament of Power starts. Goku tries to attack Top but is stopped by Ganos. Vegeta, Freeza, and the Androids ignore Gohan’s strategy, fighting warriors from other universes instead. The Third Universe gains an early lead with Narirama’s spinning attack, but Hit and Basil counter it. Basil knocks out Rylibeu from the Tenth Universe, who is then teleported to the stands. He nearly defeats Napapa, who dodges at the last moment. Goku faces Jiren while chasing Top, but Nink from the Fourth Universe grabs him to leave the ring. Goku uses Super Saiyan Blue to break free and knock Nink off. As Goku returns to his normal form to save energy, he is surrounded by the Trio of Danger with forty-seven minutes remaining in the Tournament of Power.
