Ep. 9: Kanamori seeks funding for Eizouken while Asakusa designs an alien invasion anime
Aired on March 2, 2020

Kanamori explains that Eizouken’s robot anime generated less than 20,000 Yen in profit, prompting her to decline club requests to focus on a more commercially viable project. She shares her family’s history of brewing sake before development forced a shift to a convenience store that eventually closed. Determined to increase interest in Eizouken’s work, she convinces the local business community to provide funding to offset royalties garnished from Doumeki’s sound clips. Meanwhile, Asakusa conceptualizes a new anime where the town defends against an alien invasion. She devises a method to portray a realistic laser cannon but admits she has not yet decided on a backstory for the story.
