Dr. Giovanni has transformed into an Infernal and seized control of Yu's body. He inserts a key into Amaterasu's power generator, initiating the Great Cataclysm. This event causes the world and the images of Adolla to merge, resulting in widespread fires across the Empire. Amidst the rising cries of despair from the populace, the Special Fire Force soldiers find themselves powerless and without any viable course of action to stop the unfolding disaster.
