Eureka Seven AO

A 12-year-old boy named Ao lives on the remote island of Iwado with an elderly doctor, awaiting the start of middle school. His mother disappeared ten years ago under unknown circumstances, and his father is absent. Ao's childhood friend, Naru, resides with her family and possesses a power called "Yuta," triggered by an event from her past. A mysterious force known as "Secret" attacks the island's Scub Coral lifeform, prompting Ao to pilot a military FP unit called "Nirvash" from a Japanese transport ship in an effort to defend Iwado. The island has seen increasing calls for self-governance, reflecting a broader political movement.
