When Keiichirou’s hidden pet cat Kaya escapes into an abandoned school, the siblings enter to retrieve it. Inside, they encounter Hajime Aoyama, Leo Kakinoki, and Momoko Koigakubo. The group flees from various ghosts before facing Amanojaku, a demon that grows stronger by consuming children’s fear. During the escape, Satsuki discovers her mother’s diary containing instructions for sealing demons. The children successfully exorcise Amanojaku, but because the designated camphor tree was destroyed, the demon remains trapped within Kaya.

Nov 12, 2000Satsuki's class plans a drama where Keita, the lead actor, fears a curse after reading about a similar fatal incident. He secretly wishes for the gymnasium to burn down to cancel the performance, and lightning subsequently ignites the building. Consequently, the festival relocates to the old school house. Keita is injured when a basketball net falls on him, allowing his understudy, Leo, to take over. The disturbances are caused by Kutabe, a kitsune-like ghost haunting the fourth step of an old stairway, which grants wishes spoken there. Construction workers demolish the stairs, enabling Kutabe to manifest on stage during the play. As Leo begins his performance, the ghost attempts to overpower him but is sealed away by the rest of the group before it can cause harm.

One form is a speedy boy who died after being hit by a car while training for this same event. The other is a demonic hare-like creature that collects legs from sprinters. Datto initially targets Keiichirou, but after Satsuki reveals that Keiichirou considers him a friend, the boy's spirit redeems himself. He prevents his evil alter-ego from attacking Keiichirou as he approaches the finish line. This act of kindness allows Datto's spirit to find peace and be freed from his torment.
EP 6The Demon Hand That Tears Through Doors: Night of Tragedy
Dec 3, 2000A reality-altering spirit named Babasare attacks local children while their parents are absent, causing days of terror. This entity, resembling the Grim Reaper, haunts those who fear him but cannot appear to adults or brave individuals like Momoko. When Babasare targets Satsuki, Hajime, Leo, and Keiichirou at Satsuki's home, she attempts to repel the spirit by pouring hot water on it. Although this action temporarily halts the attack, the narrative reveals that the measure is insufficient to permanently destroy the entity, leaving the children vulnerable to future encounters with the supernatural threat.

It captures individuals, trapping their souls in the mirror world while replacing them with glass-wearing replicas that lack reflections. The entity attempts to substitute every person in the town with these duplicates. Satsuki intervenes to stop the takeover by positioning a second mirror directly in front of the ghost. This action seals the entity away and restores the town to its original state, returning everyone to normal.

Dec 17, 2000Leo searches for the Yomi-net website, which connects to the underworld, and nearly falls victim to the underworld demon hag known as Datsue-ba. In the past, this entity used to take lost people to the boats of the Sanzu River and force them to cross into the underworld. Her activities ceased after the city installed lights, prompting her to use the Yomi-net to achieve the same goal online. Satsuki and the others help Leo return by scanning him an o-fuda and instructing him to wish to go back home.
EP 9Satsuki helps Mio release the cursed rabbit Shirotabi from its nightly demon form
Dec 24, 2000Mio, a school pet keeper, uses black magic to revive her rabbit, Shirotabi. The ritual succeeds but curses the animal, transforming it into a demon every night. Despite Mio's efforts to control Shirotabi, the creature no longer recognizes her. Satsuki and her friends intervene to persuade Mio that Shirotabi belongs with the dead. Convinced by their argument, Mio agrees to end the curse. She breaks the spell, allowing Shirotabi to pass on and freeing it from its torment. This resolution restores peace for both the rabbit and its grieving owner.

Miyuki is actually alive, and Yuki is the ghost of a girl who drowned in a lake long ago while waiting for her mother. Yuki attempts to trap Miyuki as a ghost by having the group chant a spell using a blood-covered photo. The spirit rests after the group repeats the chorus "Go with the snow, but not the snow that is yellow" using an old newspaper photograph.
EP 18Satsuki Becomes School Announcer and Encounters the Haunted Ghost of Akane

During her duties, she discovers the broadcast room is haunted by Akane, a student who died of a sudden heart attack while hosting a radio program in the old school building. To neutralize the threat, Satsuki induces a spiritual sleep by repeatedly chanting the number four, leveraging the Japanese cultural association between the word for four and death. Hajime completes the ritual by ringing the bell that signals the end of the radio transmission, thereby resolving the haunting.
EP 19Satsuki and Keiichirou confront Lord Ouma, who targets Kayako Miyanoshita's family.
Mar 25, 2001Satsuki and Keiichirou face Lord Ouma, a powerful evil deity who controls sealed ghosts and holds a grudge against Kayako Miyanoshita. To seal him, they must imprison him in a large bell once an exorcist gains sufficient spiritual power. Since Satsuki has not fully developed her abilities, Amanojaku leaves Kayako's body to fight Ouma while Satsuki gathers strength. Ultimately, Satsuki seals both Lord Ouma and Amanojaku. Amanojaku sacrifices himself to allow Satsuki to accumulate enough power to destroy Ouma permanently, resulting in his accidental sealing alongside the defeated deity.
