Gamba and friends face weasel ambush and rescue by Tsuburi
Sep 22, 1975Gamba, Yoisho, and the Elder mouse are ambushed by weasels while gathering food. Tsuburi rescues them and provides food for all the mice. The weasels soon launch an attack, leading to a battle that the mice win. However, the Elder mouse is fatally wounded during the conflict. Following the victory, Gakasha realizes that the waters of the sea are calm tonight. This sequence of events marks a significant turning point for the group as they deal with the aftermath of the fight and the loss of their elder.

The Great Sprial: Our Final Battle
Sep 29, 1975The mice swim across the sea to reach the safety of a distant island. Gamba and his friends distract the weasels while Chuta searches for Tsuburi. Tsuburi and seabirds rescue the mice, causing the weasels to perish in whirlpools. Noroi survives and attempts a final attack, but Gamba and his friends bite him to death. Chuta stays with his family, while Gamba sets sail back to Tokyo with his friends.
