The International Police Organization, a global group of members, acquires an attache case previously held by the corporation Big Fire. Inside lies an unusual Shizuma Drive, a critical power source for their futuristic world. Big Fire reacts with displeasure to the theft of this unique drive and launches an attack to recover it, targeting the IPO members. In response, the organization defends itself using a unique method: a boy named Daisaku Kusama. He is capable of controlling a robot called Giant Robo, which serves as their primary means of fighting back against the corporate assault and protecting the valuable technology.
