In the year 2058, the third planet of the Ypserlon system, 43 light years from Earth, is attacked by aliens. The planet's inhabitants attempt to flee, but during the chaos, children become separated from their parents and end up on the training spaceship Janous. After enduring many hardships, they reach the fourth planet, Belwick, only to find it already at war. As a result, the thirteen children must make the journey to Earth on their own.
