The millennium-long HOLY EMPIRE of the Milky Way collapses, causing cosmic chaos and war among nations. THUNDER JET, a soldier in the Kingdom of Gojo, fights the Kingdom of SAKURA in the Northern Territory. He kills King SHUZEN, witnessed by SHUZEN's daughter Simone, who vows revenge. Despite rewards, Thunder Jet resents King DAN-JOE for ordering a suicidal attack that killed his friends. Seeking compensation for the fallen comrades' families, he confronts the King directly. This defiance leads to a death sentence, but he is rescued by DAN-JOE's daughter, Reila, who admires his courage. That night, Boot City, the Gojo capital, suffers a surprise attack by hundreds of thousands of soldiers who catch the army off guard.
