Episode 280 focuses on Ikeda Asaemon, a member of an executioner family who betrayed and killed the former head. Her target is Gin-san, a criminal previously sentenced to beheading by the Ikeda clan. Ikeda Yaemon, the current family head, hires Odd Jobs to protect Asaemon. Their journey begins on a seemingly calm ship, but the voyage is abruptly halted by the arrival of Okita and Hijikata. Upon their appearance, Okita proceeds to disclose the complete truth regarding the circumstances of this case to everyone present.
