Yui supports the Cures while Kirara takes a television reporting job sampling donuts. She clashes with regular reporter Ranko Ichijou, who seeks the spotlight. The pair compete in mascot design and reporting contests, leading to a race where Kirara wins, though Ranko’s perseverance inspires the audience. Shut then targets Ranko, creating a Donut Zetsuborg with a difficult doughy texture. The Cures use the Crystal Princess Rods to defeat the monster. Afterward, Kirara gains respect for Ranko, discovering she is an upperclassman.
