After drugging Shungo and attempting to initiate intimacy, her forces face an assault from Ryoko, Mikihiro, and the returning Shinobu. Irori and Tasuku intervene to liberate Shungo from captivity. Recognizing that Mayu faces death due to energy depletion, Shungo immediately departs to locate her and provide the necessary sustenance to save her life.
