Kujou remains confused by Avril’s nature and asks Victorique for a book to solve the mystery. He is knocked unconscious and the book vanishes. Victorique reveals that the Avril Bradley he knows is an impostor, the successor of the legendary thief Kuiaran. Kujou rescues the real Avril Bradley. The pair then confronts Kuiaran the Second atop the library tower. Kuiaran had arrived seeking the book. This encounter resolves the identity crisis surrounding Avril and brings the ghostly mystery to a close within the abandoned storehouse setting.
