A catastrophic event in 2019 caused two parallel worlds to merge. By 2029, True Japan has implemented strict censorship on all unacceptable cultures to unify the two Japanese populations. Within this altered landscape, Hosomichi engages in combat while uncovering the existence of otaku who continue to resist and fight against the regime's control.
