Ep. 3: Mast Cell faces backlash for histamine release while U-1146 battles acne bacteria in a pore.
In the first segment, Mast Cell becomes angry after cells complain about her histamine release causing inflammation. When a mosquito bite introduces the Dengue virus, Langerhans cells attack the body. Mast Cell initially refuses to act, but Basophil urges her to follow her instincts. She releases histamines to distract infected cells and alert the immune system, successfully eliminating the virus. The cells apologize, but Mast Cell insists her previous actions were correct. In the second segment, U-1146 investigates a pore where acne bacteria have enslaved hair and sebum cells. The bacteria killed Neutrophils, turning them into pus. A young hair cell feels insignificant, but U-1146 emphasizes individual worth. The bacteria king regenerates endlessly by consuming sebum. Inspired by U-1146, the hair cells produce excessive sebum, overwhelming the king. U-1146 defeats the king and survives the resulting sebum flood.
