Ep. 1: Kumiko Oumae joins Kitauji concert band after reconnecting with Reina Kousaka

After a junior high rivalry with trumpeter Reina Kousaka, Kumiko Oumae starts high school by befriending Hazuki Katou and Sapphire Midori Kawashima. The trio visits the Kitauji concert band club, where Kumiko unexpectedly encounters Reina again. Club president Haruka Ogasawara and vice president Asuka Tanaka welcome them. Kumiko also meets childhood friend Shuichi Tsukamoto, who plans to join. Despite her initial hesitation regarding the reunion with Reina, Kumiko receives support from Midori and Hazuki, who recently purchased a mouthpiece. Encouraged by her new friends, Kumiko resolves to join the band the following day, setting the stage for her musical journey at Kitauji.
