A powerful team known as Mugen once ruled a town until they were opposed by the Amamiya Brothers, who proved strong enough to resist them. Mugen eventually broke up, and the Amamiya Brothers vanished. Later, five gangs—Sannoh Hoodlum Squad, White Rascals, Oya High School, Rude Boys, and Daruma Ikka—united under the name G-SWORD and renamed the region SWORD after their group names.
