The supreme yokai commander Nurarihyon visits, revealing himself as a short, timid demon lacking presence. He is confused by his legendary reputation and wishes to embody the image associated with his name. Hozuki, Gon, and Koban attempt to assist him in altering his public perception. Meanwhile, Gon’s laziness leads to criticism from Daji regarding low sales figures. To regain her favor, Gon tries to please her by acquiring a snake, which is her preferred food, from Hozuki.
