Ep. 5: Eliot decides to play after seeing Axel Blaze provoke him on TV
Polestar Academy, the top-ranked prestigious school, prepares for tomorrow's preliminary match against Kirkwood Junior High. Eliot, an isolated player, initially refuses to practice or participate due to a lack of motivation. After school, he visits his childhood friend Faith Winter at the hospital, maintaining his usual composure while harboring a vow of revenge against the "Balance of Ares" for breaking her heart. While watching TV in the hospital room, Eliot sees a special feature on Kirkwood Junior High's cleanup efforts. During the interview, Ace striker Axel Blaze provokes him directly. This provocation convinces Eliot to join the qualifying match the next day. However, on the day of the game, the offensive strategy devised by the absolute leader of Kirkwood Junior High proves to be surprisingly effective and unexpected.
