Earth Eleven arrives on the fiery planet Gurdon, where they learn of a civil war between the Pro-Machine and Anti-Machine factions. Tsurugi Kyousuke shows Lalaya Obies the unhappy side of Faram Obius. After reuniting with Katra Paige, the team splits into three groups to find the red stone fragment. Meanwhile, Rodan Gasgus of Gurdon Eleven sets traps for the visitors. Two groups escape, but Shindou and Ibuki are knocked off a cliff by a mechanical bird. They plummet toward a pool of scorching magma below. The team must survive this dangerous situation while navigating the political conflict and the treacherous volcanic terrain of the planet.
