Akari becomes unusually energetic, surprising her family, as her class prepares for a manga exhibition. Mai volunteers to lead the project after Akari is nearly chosen. The group struggles to agree on a plot until Akari combines their ideas with advice from her pen. Although they initially succeed, they soon face a creative block. Akari's pen transports them into the manga world, where Ruby and Labra act as magician guides. As they approach the climax, their rose vehicle wilts. Akari and her friends transform to save the situation, allowing the story to conclude. Upon waking, they believe the adventure was a dream but feel renewed energy to finish the manga. The exhibition proves to be a major success, and the girls anticipate their next creative project.
