Ep. 2: Kanade saves Akane from a truck while Hana Satō confesses her feelings to Shū

Kanade and Akane travel to a student council meeting, where Kanade critiques Akane’s ambition to become king due to the unwanted attention it would generate. When Akane nearly hits a cat, Kanade materializes a shock-absorbent wall, costing 40,000,000 yen. The narrative shifts to Hana Satō, who laments being unrecognized at school after her transfer. She is surprised when Shū remembers her, but assumes Akane is his girlfriend upon seeing them together. Hana confesses her feelings, and Shū agrees to reciprocate after his election efforts conclude. He later calls to ensure her safe arrival. Meanwhile, Akane questions Shū’s motivation for opposing Kanade’s rise to power.
