A ninja named Jubei Kibagami saves a woman from a monster, triggering a series of events that lead to his own life being endangered. He embarks on a journey through a dangerous version of ancient Japan filled with supernatural threats. The path is complicated by demonic possessions, a destroyed village, and the reappearance of someone from his past.
