Before episode 23, Nodoka arrives at the clubroom carrying a sample of the graduation yearbook that requires Sawako's approval. Because Sawako is ill with a cold, the other girls decide to visit her apartment out of curiosity. While reviewing the album, they discover a mysterious hand in the group photo, which is identified as belonging to Ritsu. Ignoring Sawako's objections, the group chooses to assist her with tasks around the apartment. During their visit, they briefly encounter Azusa, who is occupied with rehearsals for her freshman reception alongside Ui and Jun.
