During the North Song Dynasty in ancient China, a notable figure arose in the capital city of Kai Feng—governor Zheng Bao. Known among peasants as Bao Gong, he stood out in a corrupt administration by displaying exceptional honesty, fairness, and a strong commitment to justice, earning him the title "Justice Bao." According to Chinese folklore, Zheng Bao is believed to be the reincarnation of Megrez, the Chinese God of Wisdom, and is said to possess supernatural abilities. The Kai Feng Story presents the legend of Bao Gong through a newly imagined portrayal of his character.
