Ep. 1: Kafka Hibino reflects on lost dreams while working in Kaiju clean-up duties

Kafka Hibino has nearly given up his ambition to join the anti-Kaiju Defense Force. He currently works in Kaiju clean-up, tasked with disposing of the remains of defeated Kaiju. During this work, he frequently recalls his past with childhood friend Mina Ashiro, who serves as the captain of the Defense Force's Third Division. His current routine is marked by regret over the time he spent with her and the career path he once pursued. This period represents a significant shift from his earlier aspirations, as he deals with the aftermath of Kaiju battles rather than participating in them directly.
