EP 1A tale of desire and survival at the top of the tower
Apr 2, 2020One character yearns to witness the stars, while another simply wishes to remain by her side. The narrative poses a profound question regarding the ultimate desires that justify sacrificing one's life. Success is reserved exclusively for those possessing the necessary strength to endure the trials ahead. Only the resilient can attain their deepest wishes at the summit of the tower. This premise sets the stage for a story where personal longing intersects with the harsh requirements of survival, challenging characters to prove their worthiness to reach the peak.
EP 2Bam passes Headon's test and ascends while Khun targets him over the Black March
Apr 9, 2020Bam successfully completes the evaluation administered by Headon, allowing him to ascend to the second level of the tower. Meanwhile, Khun notices the Black March that Bam received from Yuri and proceeds to toy with him. Despite this tension, Bam and Khun align their goals to reach the top of the tower. However, the narrative hints at complications arising from their partnership as they continue their ascent, leaving the outcome of their joint effort uncertain.
EP 3Khun explains the fake sky while Bam faces a deadly door selection test with Rak and Hansung Yu.
Apr 16, 2020In the new venue, Khun explains to a wonderstruck Bam that the "sky" here is an imitation created by Shinsu modeled after the legend, which he doubts exists. They meet the director of the test, Hansung Yu, who challenges them to find the right door out of twelve identical ones within 10 minutes given only one chance, lest they be forcefully terminated. Although Khun tries to think, he is inadvertently haunted by his past of being betrayed by his half-sister Maria after she was chosen to become one of the elite girls, a Princess of Jahad, through his help, thereby exiling the Aguero family as well. His mother also warned him since then to never trust anyone and closed his heart off. As Khun panics, Rak pushes open a random door and Hansung reveals the hidden condition to pass was to open any door within 5 minutes. Lero Ro then administers a bonus test where participation is voluntary, but all who pass it would be automatically granted permission to climb the tower. The test involves five rounds where a maximum of five teams attempt to steal a crown and remain on the throne for as long as possible, with two other members of the team acting as a defense. As the second round begins, Bam feels Black March react strangely as a girl resembling Rachel arrives.
EP 4Anaak sits on the throne wielding The Green April sword after the first Crown Game round
Apr 23, 2020Following the conclusion of the initial phase of the Crown Game, Anaak assumes control of the throne while wielding the ever-shifting blade known as The Green April. Meanwhile, Bam, Khun, and Rak remain in waiting, carefully observing the situation to identify the optimal moment to enter the competition. The narrative focuses on their anticipation and strategy as they prepare to engage in this additional challenge. The central question revolves around whether these three participants can endure the dangers and survive until the final conclusion of this specific bonus game segment.
EP 5Bam protects Rachel from an attack, causing a Shinsu explosion that ends the crown game.
Apr 30, 2020Khun creates multiple crown copies and frees allies from his bag before the next round begins. A mysterious team enters, demonstrating immense strength. When Rachel is attacked by a masked player, Bam shields her, resulting in both sustaining head injuries. A Shinsu explosion occurs, making Bam appear to have transformed and attacked the opponent, violating the tower's absolute rules. The crown game concludes without a winner because the crown melts and Bam leaves the throne. Due to his severe injury, Bam is taken to the infirmary. Rachel visits him and meets Khun, asking for a favor. Meanwhile, Lero Ro questions Hansung about the bonus round. Hansung warns that administrators exist to stop dangerous individuals, like Bam, from seizing the tower's power.
EP 6Khun deceives Bam while Anaak steals the Black March and Bam becomes Wave Controller.
May 7, 2020Five days after the crown game, Rachel asks Khun to lie to Bam about her visit to avoid burdening each other. Khun realizes Rachel does not care for Bam and complies to distance them. Anaak steals the Black March, but it rejects her commands. Upon reawakening, Khun explains that Lero Ro assigned team positions for the fourth test: Fisherman, Spear Bearer, Lighthouse Bearer, Scout, and Wave Controller. Bam receives the Wave Controller role, which uses Shinsu to support allies. Using Shinsu beyond limits requires contracts with floor masters via Pockets, though floor bearers warn this will shackle him. During meals, Bam meets Endrosi Jahad, a Princess who calls Anaak an impostor. Khun discovers Anaak’s records show her as deceased, despite her supposed Princess status. Anaak and Endrosi fight, revealing Anaak is the daughter of Princesses killed by rivals, seeking revenge.
EP 7Endorsi and Anaak fall into a pit while participants prepare for the tag game in the final placement test.
May 14, 2020Jahad is the first man to have ever climbed the tower, becoming the king of all who lives in it today. Endorsi likens the Princesses of Jahad to luxurious shoes in a display cabinet, explaining that once granted Jahad's power, they are forbidden from engaging in intercourse or bearing children to prevent the inheritance of that power. Their fight ends with both Endorsi and Anaak falling into a pit and ending up seriously injured. In the final placement test, participants, excluding Rak and Ghost who have already passed, must play a game of tag in a separate building. They split into Team A and Team B, with each team required to help their own "it" steal the badge from the other team's "it" or reach the goal.
EP 8Khun's Strategy
May 21, 2020Khun delays Quant to allow Anaak to escape the bridge, but Quant discovers the deception and jumps down, forcing Khun to fall. Anaak saves Khun with the Green April, and they later offer Quant a ride to steal Anaak's badge. Khun's actions betray his team to help Bam's Team B pass the test. As Team A loses, Team B enters, struggling to assign roles until Endorsi volunteers as "it." Serena's past as a burglar whose friends were killed by a Ranker is revealed. Quant catches up to Endorsi's group, who appear to turn against their own team members during the game.
EP 9Endorsi plots to eliminate rivals while Hoh holds Rachel hostage, leading to a tragic confrontation and Team B's victory.
May 28, 2020Endorsi admits she plans to kill two other Team B Fishermen to ensure she passes the test. Bam rushes to Rachel, where he and Quant find Hoh holding her at knifepoint. Hoh claims that killing Rachel would destroy Bam’s motivation to climb the tower, citing an anonymous letter as leverage. During Rachel’s struggle to escape, Hoh accidentally stabs her in the back. Bam employs a Shinsu technique that took him hundreds of years to master, paralyzing Hoh and saving Rachel despite her severe bleeding. Realizing he was manipulated and overwhelmed by past trauma regarding his race’s massacre, Hoh commits suicide by stabbing himself. Serena and Endorsi arrive, with Endorsi attacking Quant using a weapon from a deceased Fisherman. With Bam’s assistance, Endorsi retrieves Quant’s badge, securing victory for Team B. Hoh’s body and the injured Rachel are taken for emergency care, leaving Bam at Rachel’s bedside as the episode concludes.
EP 10Bam reveals Rachel's injury, Serena departs, and Ren's true identity emerges during the test results.
Jun 4, 2020Bam informs Khun and Rak that Rachel may never walk again after her injury. The group holds a small funeral and remembrance party for Hoh. Serena, knowing she will fail the test, leaves the Inner Tower and gives Shibisu her knife. Test director Hansung Yu encounters Wave Controller teacher Yuga, who reveals his true identity as Lo Po Bia Ren of the Royal Enforcement Division. Ren is on a mission to retrieve the Green April and destroy the false princess, the second Anaak Jahad. Yu allows Ren to proceed. The next morning, participants learn their results. Hansung Yu announces Rachel failed due to her injury. Khun requests permission to take the administrator's test to save her status. Yu reminds him that only Irregulars can consult the administrator. Bam reveals he is an Irregular, surprising the participants. Bam is then taken to speak with the administrator.
EP 11Bam and Rachel face underwater trials while Shibisu and Anaak encounter dangerous creatures
Jun 11, 2020Bam secures permission to take the administrator's test to ensure Rachel's advancement, entering an underwater Shinsu ball with fish. Participants must capture net dolphins eaten by their queen while stopping goblins controlling marsh worms and striped ground pigs from interfering. They also face The Bull, a dangerous creature. In the caves, Shibisu encounters The Bull after Hatz warns that two participants are missing. Anaak and Endorsi save him but then compete to defeat the beast, leading to separation. Endorsi is nearly killed by a stronger Bull, while Anaak meets Lo Po Bia Ren, who stabs her. Ren controls The Bull, ordering it to kill Anaak, the imposter princess. Meanwhile, Hatz, Rak, and Paracule monitor goblins. Khun advises waiting, but numbers exceed expectations. When a goblin attacks Hatz, Paracule skewers it, triggering a full assault.
EP 12Rak and Lauroe engage enemies while Anaak and Yuri confront Lo Po Bia Ren underwater.
Jun 18, 2020Rak returns to fight goblins alongside his team, while Lauroe seals tunnels to guide striped ground pigs toward them. This diversion allows Bam and Rachel safe passage. Underground, Anaak nearly falls to Lo Po Bia Ren, but Endorsi joins her. Though insufficient alone, Princess Yuri arrives, recognizes her blade loaned to Bam, and assists in killing the enemy. As Lo Po Bia Ren dies, he reveals he sent a bull to attack Bam and Rachel. The bull strikes underwater, but Bam defeats it using special Shinsu. As they ascend to finish the test, Rachel pushes Bam over the edge.
EP 13Rachel's backstory reveals her jealousy and betrayal of Bam during the first tower trial.
Jun 25, 2020Rachel learns the Tower did not call her, prompting Headon to offer a chance to defeat Bam. She receives a bodyguard that dies in her place once, granting her two lives. Driven by jealousy, she allows herself to be captured by Hoh, uses her extra life, and pushes the injured Bam into a Shinsu lake. When others find her alone, she claims a bull attacked him and passes out. They assume Bam is defeated and agree to help Rachel reach the top as a favor. Later, Rachel laughs wildly in her room, conflicted yet determined. Meanwhile, Bam wakes up in a deep cavern, badly hurt. Remembering Rachel’s betrayal, he resolves to climb the Tower to find his own answers.
