Kidou Tenshi Angelic Layer

Twelve-year-old Misaki Suzuhara moves to Tokyo to live with her aunt and becomes immersed in Angelic Layer, a high-tech game where players, known as Deus, control dolls called Angels using their thoughts. Misaki connects with others who share her interest and constructs her own Angel named Hikaru. She participates in battles where mental focus and determination are more important than physical power. As national championships approach, competition intensifies, and not all those she meets support her. Misaki must manage the demands of constant competition while adjusting to life in a new city.
