Ep. 44: Akira Confronts Her Past Feelings in the Snow to Save Miku from Elysio

Miku resists Akira’s desire to become a researcher for her benefit, prompting Elysio to blame Miku for holding Akira back due to her illness and subsequently kidnap her. Upon discovering Miku’s disappearance from the hospital, Akira is lured into Noir’s dimension by Elysio, who manifests a giant snowman monster using Miku’s self-loathing. Inside the creature, Elysio attempts to manipulate Akira by exploiting her loneliness over being unable to play with Miku. Akira overcomes this darkness by affirming that her research goals aim to help all children, thereby freeing herself. After escaping Noir’s dimension, Akira honors her promise to Miku by crafting white chocolate snowdogs together.
