Kitsune no Home Run Ou

Two teams of anthropomorphic animals, the Foxes and the Rabbits, compete in a baseball game. The Foxes' star player has the chance to secure a win for his team but becomes distracted by a female fox in the stands, causing him to miss the final pitch. Originally titled "Kitsune no Homerun-O," the short film was produced in September 1949 by Kindaieigasha Co., Ltd., directed by Satoshi Morino, and animated by Kazue Saku and Terada Noboru. In 1957, East-West TV Inc. imported the film, added an English narrator while keeping the original Japanese voices for the characters, and it was released in the U.S. as "Seventh Inning Stretch" by Medallion TV for syndication.
