Following a time ship incident and tracking a bird-shaped figure, the D-Team and Alpha Gang reach Ancient China. Foolscap has summoned a Shantungosaurus to aid his search for the Purple Cosmos Stone. He kidnaps Buddhist monk Shwan-dzang, prompting conflict with the D-Team. Zoe employs Metal Wing to summon Pteranodons for the rescue. Zapper arms his Shantungosaurus and deploys a Tupuxuara to defeat Paris. Max arms Chomp to take down the Shantungosaurus and Tupuxuara. Despite these victories, Foolscap manages to escape the confrontation.
