Ep. 17: Shun's party faces dangerous labyrinth routes and dragon attacks while Ariel confronts Nameless.
Ariel prepares to assault the Elf Village in the Demon Realm, while Shun’s group camps in the labyrinth. Unable to sleep, Shun learns from Basgath that he once met Nameless, the Nightmare of the Labyrinth. Facing a time crunch, the group chooses a risky shortcut through the Nightmare’s former home. They defeat an earth dragon but are then confronted by a swarm of spider-type monsters, described as the Nightmare’s vestiges. Surprisingly, these creatures allow Shun and his companions to pass after realizing they are reincarnations. The group exits the labyrinth by flying through an opening on Fei’s dragon form. In the past, Nameless survives due to her immortality but worries about magic that can kill immortals. Meanwhile, Ariel realizes Nameless is alive when a parallel mind attacks her through a link with mother.
