A former World War I flying ace, now cursed with a pig’s face, is known as "Porco" Rosso. He lives in the tropical Adriatic and is celebrated for his daring aerial skills. His actions anger a group of sky pirates, who hire another pilot named Curtis to eliminate him. Both men also find themselves vying for the attention of Gina, a woman they both admire. The conflict between them plays out primarily in the skies, where their flying abilities are tested.
