During a class trip to the beach, Chiyoko receives a warning from Akuma Joe, a Spirit World entity, that her bus will explode upon exiting a tunnel. To save her classmates, she casts a spell that transports them all into the Spirit World. To find a way out, Chiyoko must assume the role of Cinderella. While she struggles with this task, Gyubid appears to assist her in reaching the ball. This sequence of events constitutes the first part of the narrative arc.
