You Keika, who died in a traffic accident, exists as the spirit shadow of Tanmoku Ki. After realizing he has received no specific instruction, Keika asks Ki to arrange formal training. Ki agrees and entrusts Keika to In Tetsu, the lord of the Tanmoku family residing on Mt. Ura. The training session begins with significant difficulties and challenges for the novice spirit shadow. During this rocky start to his instruction, a mysterious youkai suddenly appears, interrupting the proceedings and introducing an unexpected element to Keika's development under In Tetsu's supervision.
