Luna Nova University organizes a welcome reception for Earl Paul Hanbridge and his son, Andrew, who is an old friend of Diana. At the same time, Akko struggles with practicing metamorphosis magic after giving herself animal ears. Frustrated by her difficulties, she sets out to find the legendary Fountain of Polaris. Akko believes that this mythical location holds the key to granting her the immense magical power she desires. Her quest takes her away from the festivities, contrasting with the formal gathering hosted by the school for the visiting dignitaries and their family members.
