Ep. 7: Hanayo reveals the Love Live tournament, prompting the group to seek permission from the chairwoman under strict academic conditions.

Hanayo informs the group about the Love Live tournament, a national competition for the top twenty school idol groups. To participate, they must obtain the chairwoman's approval, which is granted only if no member fails an upcoming exam. This requirement pressures Honoka, Rin, and Nico, who struggle academically. Umi and Kotori assist Honoka, while Hanayo and Maki help Rin, and Nozomi supports Nico. Umi later encounters Eli's sister, Alisa, who shares a video of μ's performance online. When questioned about Eli's reluctance to acknowledge the group, Alisa explains that Eli views all school idols as amateurs. Umi learns Eli was a talented ballerina and resolves to ask her to teach the group dance. After the exams, everyone passes, but Honoka overhears the chairwoman announce that the school will cease accepting new students and close the following year.
