Lupin III targets various jewels located at the World Fair in Los Angeles. Goemon claims he has become too soft and chooses to abstain from the heist. However, Lupin receives information from Fujiko regarding a rival named Harry Satler who is also seeking the gems. Intrigued by this competition, Lupin decides to investigate the man personally. Upon meeting his target, he discovers that Harry Satler is actually a wizened old man rather than the expected adversary.
