ICPO struggles to solve the case of the Duke of Le Mond’s murder and stolen diamonds, leading them to recruit mystery author Conan Dorill as a special inspector. Dorill quickly deduces that the elusive Nightlight Mask is actually Lupin. Upon discovering that Count Johannes is the next target, Dorill and Zenigata set up a stakeout at the Johannes Mansion. A costume ball is currently underway at the location, providing the perfect cover for the detectives to await the criminal’s arrival and attempt to apprehend him during the event.
